Supply a variety of cupellation furnaces for fire assay laboratories

GLS cupellation furnace is a kind of fire assay equipment used to detect the content of gold, silver and precious metals, also known as muffle furnace. As professional laboratory equipment, the industrial standard furnace chamber can be loaded with 50 or 100 cupels. It significantly improves the efficiency of laboratory work and reduces the frequency of manual operations.

The structure of the fire assay cupellation furnace is made of carbon steel as a whole, which is strong and durable. Silicon carbon heating elements, K-type thermocouple and Omron temperature controller make the furnace temperature can be adjusted precisely, and the furnace temperature is uniform and stable. The maximum temperature of the furnace can reach 1200 ℃. These conditions provide reliable results for the operation of absorbing lead buttons to obtain gold silver alloys in the cupellation process.

      [ Various Options ]

      • Optional equipment such as fire assay tools, manual/electric crucible loader, etc. can be used to form integrated systems of multi-pour loading, unloading and cupellation.
        • Optional laboratory dust removal system and acid fume scrubber
        • The50 place cupellation furnacecan be connected with a 25 place laboratory crucible fusion furnace
        • Safety goggles, aluminized heat-insulating protective clothing, and aluminized protective gloves must be worn during the whole process of the cupellation
        • Fire assay cupellation furnace can be customized according to customer needs

      [ How To Cupellation ]

Cupellation is an important step to separate precious metals from lead in lead alloys. First, the cupels are preheated in the fire assay cupellation furnace at 800-900 ℃ to remove the organic matter, moisture, carbon dioxide and other volatile substances. Then put the lead button into the preheated cupels. After the lead button is melted in the cupellation furnace, the lead is oxidized into lead oxide and penetrates into the porous cupels. Thereby removing the lead and base metal from the lead button. Gold, silver and precious metals are not oxidized and kept in the cupels to form gold and silver particles.
