Safety Goggles
Safety goggles can provide special eye protection for specific work and environments. Safety goggles are your ideal choice when you need to minimize the risk of liquid splash, corrosive vapor, air dust and solid particles’ high-speed impact. Safety goggles are mainly divided into three types: anti-solid debris, anti-chemical solution and anti-radiation.

Safety goggles to protect eyes from various work environment threats
Safety goggles are mainly divided into three types: anti-solid debris, anti-chemical solution and anti-radiation.
- Safety goggles against solid debris are mainly used to prevent mechanical damage to the eyes such as metal or sand and gravel debris. The spectacle lens and spectacle frame should be strong and shock resistant. There should be venting holes around the frame. Protective lenses can be tempered glass, glue-bonded glass or copper wire mesh protective glasses.
- Safety goggles against chemical solutions are mainly used to protect the eyes from chemical damage caused by irritating or corrosive solutions. Ordinary flat lenses can be used, and the frame should be covered to prevent the solution from splashing. Usually used in laboratories, hospitals and other places.
- Radiation-proof Safety goggles are used to protect the eyes from excessive ultraviolet rays and other radiation rays. The lens is made of special glass that can reflect or absorb radiation, but can transmit visible light. The lens is plated with bright chromium, nickel, mercury or silver metal film, which can reflect radiation. The blue lens absorbs infrared rays, the yellow-green lens absorbs both ultraviolet and infrared rays, and the colorless leaded lens absorbs X-rays and gamma rays.

Cupel is a shallow, porous crucible with approximately 96% magnesia. It is especially used to separate gold, silver, and precious metals from lead buckles in the process of Pb-Fire assay. By using high-quality raw materials and scientific formulas, GLS’s fire assay magnesia cupel has a smooth surface, high mechanical strength, and will not crack and pit during high-temperature cupellation.

Zirconium is our most effective crucible material for fusions using sodium carbonate or sodium peroxide. It is an excellent low-cost replacement for platinum. And, based on an average of 100 fusions per crucible, it is more cost effective than less expensive porcelain or steel crucibles.
Other advantages of zirconium are its complete resistance to the action of most solvents of all concentrations such as nitric, hydrochloric, sulfuric and perchloric acids.
This allows the fusions to be dissolved out of the crucible completely with little or no contamination of the sample. Alkaline solvents such as ammonium hydroxide, acetate sulfide, carbonate and (Na, K) hydroxide, sulfide, carbonate and cyanide are also without effect.
