The PTFE Stir Bar, Cross is a general-purpose magnetic stir bar designed to provide a deep vortex with stable stirring action. It is manufactured from virgin-grade PTFE conforming to FDA and USP Class VI requirements and incorporates an Alnico V magnetic core. The PTFE construction provides virtually total chemical resistance and supports a temperature range of -200°C to 260°C (-328°F to 500°F). The stir bar is autoclavable and has an indefinite shelf life within normal use and storage conditions. The cross design is available in seven height and diameter combinations, allowing selection according to the vessel and stirring requirements.
