The Kartell Sedi-Rate Erythrocyte Sedimentation System is designed for measuring erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR) according to the Westergren reference method. The system includes a labelled polypropylene test tube measuring 12 × 86 mm, with a pink cap containing 0.2 ml of sodium citrate, and a polystyrene pipette with a graduated scale. A fibre cap and integrated plunger help the pipette fill quickly and conveniently. The test tube accommodates 1 ml of whole blood, and the sedimentation result is read after 60 minutes.
