The GLS Aluminium Conical Crucible is made from 99.7% pure aluminium oxide and is designed for high-temperature laboratory applications. It offers high resistance to alkalis and other fluxes and is refractory and inert in hydrogen and carbonaceous atmospheres. It is suitable for glass melting including borosilicate glass, with a maximum use temperature of 1750°C.
